Cumberland University to use StatBroadcast Live for 2013-14

LEBANON, TENN. -- Cumberland University and StatBroadcast announced today that the school will use the StatBroadcast Live platform to simulcast live stats of its athletic events throughout the 2013-14 academic year.

Cumberland University is a private university locatedi n Lebanon, Tennessee with an enrollment of 1500. Founded in 1842, it became the first law school in the state of Tennessee when the program was added in 1852. Cumberland's University Hall was burned to the ground by Union soldiers during the Civil War and following its rebuilding, the school adoped the phoenix bird as its symbol, which is still present today in its athletic teams' logo. The Cumberland Bulldogs compete primarily in the Mid-South Conference of the NAIA and sponsor 15 varsity sports, including football, basketball, softball and baseball. The Cumberland baseball has been the most successful recently, capturing the NAIA World Series crown in 2004 and 2010, and finishing runner-up in 2006.

Cumberland will be the third NAIA program to use StatBroadcast and the ninth athletic program from the state of Tennessee.
